Portals and platforms for firms that run on relationships.
We have built member portals and internal platforms for organisations like Praxity, the global alliance of accounting firms, and dotdigital. Professional services run on knowledge and relationships; the right system puts both at people’s fingertips.
Do you know these problems?
The problems we solve most often.
Client data in silos
CRM, documents, billing and email each hold a slice of the client story, so nobody sees the whole picture.
Manual admin between the work
Onboarding, engagement paperwork and reporting stitched together by hand, taking hours that no fee recovers.
Portals nobody logs into
Member and client portals that offer nothing worth returning for. Adoption is a design problem, not a marketing one.
“Blacklight have certainly gone above and beyond their remit to ensure a successful launch and given us what has been asked for, whilst both mentoring and guiding us through the process in such a way as to enable them to create what we wanted but found difficult to express. Their customer service is exemplary, Praxity would have no hesitation in recommending Blacklight's services.”

What we have built in professional services.
Replacing a fragmented SharePoint 2007 site for the world's largest accountancy alliance Praxity's website and extranet had grown stale on decade-old technology, with Flash-dependent features that didn't work on mobile and an advisor locator that sent users on a lengthy journey to find what they needed. We rebuilt the whole thing on Dynamics CRM and SharePoint, with a real-time global advisor search at its heart. Read the story →
Bringing order to a fast-growing sales operation with Dynamics CRM dotDigital had grown quickly but their sales processes hadn't kept up. Leads lived in spreadsheets, reseller accounts overlapped with direct customers, and reporting was a manual headache. We built a Dynamics CRM system with custom fuzzy matching that cleaned up the data, removed the duplication risk, and gave the team back their time. Read the story → Questions we hear
Teams like yours ask these questions.
Can you build a portal our members will actually use?
Yes, by starting with what members need every week rather than what the organisation wants to publish. We built Praxity’s platform for member firms around the world.
How does this fit with Microsoft 365?
Closely, if that is what you run. We build on SharePoint, Dynamics and the Power Platform where they fit, and bespoke where they do not.
What about confidentiality between clients?
Access control is designed in from the first workshop: who can see what, and proof of it for your risk team.
